In this article, we have explained the procedure to pay the Iqama renewal fee online and later check if it is paid correctly. Here is the process.
Iqama Fee Calculator
You can check the fee you need to pay to renew your Iqama with the help of the Iqama fee calculator.
Al Rajhi Bank
In order to pay the Iqama renewal fee online using your Al Rajhi Bank account, log in to Al Rajhi Bank application and click on the 3 dashes on the left-upper corner and then select;
- Government Payments.
- Expatriate Services.
- Renew Iqama.
On the next screen, you need to enter the following details;
- Iqama ID: Iqama number.
- Iqama Duration: 12 months.
If the name of the expatriate employee and the amount of fee is correct, click on the “confirm” button to pay iqama renewal fees online.
In case you have a Bank Al Ahli account, you can download the NCB application, log in to your account and click on;
- 3 dashes on the upper-right corner.
- Government Payments and Refunds.
On the next screen, you need to select the following settings and enter these details;
- Biller: Alien Control.
- Service: Renew Iqama.
- Select Unregistered.
- Iqama ID: Iqama Number.
- Iqama Duration: 1 year.
If the name of the expatriate employee and the amount of fee is correct, click on the “proceed” button to pay iqama renewal fees online.
Fine for the late renewal of Iqama
If the Iqama is not renewed within 3 days of its expiry, the following penalties are applied. The employer needs to pay the Iqama renewal fee online along with the fine.
- First Time: SR 500 fine.
- Second Time: SR 1,000 fine.
- Third Time: Deportation of expatriates.
Check if iqama renewal fees paid
In order to check if your Iqama renewal fee is properly paid, log in to your Absher account.
- Scroll down until you see “Public Query Available Funds“.
- Enter “Iqama Number”.
- Enter the captcha code.
If you find a deposit of SR 650 under “Passport Deposit”, it means that the Iqama Renewal fee has been paid.
Reduce Iqama Renewal fee from SR 1,150 to 650
Sometimes the Iqama Renewal fee comes as SR 1,150 rather than SR 650 while paying it online. It could be due to one of the two things;
- The fine for Iqama renewal (explained above).
- Wife's Iqama Fee.
Keep in mind that you don't have to pay the Wife's iqama fee separately as it is already included in the Iqama renewal fee of SR 650. What you can do is visit Jawazat along with your Iqama, Passport, and marriage certificate and they will fix this issue.
