Who is responsible to pay for it?

In Saudi Arabia companies generally pay only SR 2,000 for the transfer of Iqama sponsorship and ask employees to pay the rest of the amount. For example, in the case of a third transfer, the employer pays SR 2,000 and the employee pays SR 4,000 himself.

However, according to Article 40 (3) of the Saudi Labor Law, the Iqama transfer is the responsibility of the employer to whom an employee is transferring in.

For example, if you are getting transferred from Kafeel A to Kafeel B,  full Iqama transfer fee will be paid by Kafeel B.
