How to pay Iqama sponsorship transfer fee in KSA?

In order to complete the process to transfer sponsorship, you need to pay the Iqama transfer fee in Saudi Arabia. How much is the fee?  Who is responsible to pay it as per Saudi Labor Law? How to pay for it? We have explained everything in this article.

Fee for Transfer of Sponsorship

The fee for the transfer of Iqama sponsorship increases with every نقل كفاله. The fee for the;

  • the first transfer is SR 2,000.
  • the second transfer is SR 4,000.
  • the third transfer onwards is SR 6,000.

Who is responsible to pay for it?

In Saudi Arabia companies generally pay only SR 2,000 for the transfer of Iqama sponsorship and ask employees to pay the rest of the amount. For example, in case of a third transfer, the employer pays SR 2,000 and the employee pays SR 4,000 himself.

However, this practice is against the Saudi Labor Law. According to Article 40 (3) of the Saudi Labor Law, the Iqama transfer is the responsibility of Kafeel to whom an employee is transferring in.

For example, if you are getting transferred from Kafeel A to Kafeel B,  full Iqama transfer fee will be paid by Kafeel B.
