How to check Family Visit Visa status on MOFA?

After applying for the family visit visa in Saudi Arabia, you can check its status through the MOFA website using the application number. When you try to check the status, the system gives you different kinds of messages. We have explained the meaning of these messages below.

Officially they say, it takes 3 days but normally it takes a week or sometimes a month to get the visa from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

How to find the application Number?

You need the application number to check the family visit visa status on the MOFA website. The application number is written on the left side of the family visit visa application and it is also called the MOFA number.

In case you lose your application number, you need to call the MOFA office on this number 0114067777 after that dial extension 5271 or 5252. Tell them your Iqama number and they will find the application number for you.

Open the MOFA website and select “English” language from there. https://visa.mofa.gov.sa/

  • Select “Application submitted to MOFA” in front of “Search for”.
  • Enter the application number.
  • Type your Iqama number in the box stating “ID Number”.
  • Write the captcha code and click on the “Inquire” button.

Submitted to the Chamber of Commerce

After submitting the application to the Chamber of Commerce, the family visit visa application status will change to “submitted to the chamber of commerce”.

Approved Visa

If the message appears “Please print the document and communicate with any of the visa services offices accredited to the mission to provide documents and to introduce visa application electronically“, it means that your visa has been approved by the MOFA.

Finally, you can send this document to your relatives back in your home country and let them start the process of stamping the visa. If you are living in Pakistan, you will have to book an Etimad Appointment to stamp the visa.

  • Select “Visa Issued from MOFA” in front of “Search for”.
  • Enter the Document No. given on the visa page which you downloaded while checking the family visit visa application status.
  • Type your Iqama number in the box stating “ID Number”.
  • Write the captcha code and click on the “Inquire” button.

If your visa is not yet issued by the MOFA, the system will show you an error message. In this way, you can confirm that the visa is actually issued by the MOFA.
