What to do if passport is lost in Saudi Arabia?

If your passport is lost in Saudi Arabia, you will have to apply for a new one through your embassy. Before you start the process; make sure you have actually lost the passport. Here is the process;

Report to the police

The first step is to visit the nearest police station and report the loss or theft of the passport. Most of the police officers do not speak English so it is better to seek the assistance of an Arabic-speaking person while visiting the police station.

  • Visit the nearest police station.
  • Get the police report for the lost passport.

Visit the Embassy

Now you need to visit your embassy/consulate to get a new passport. The requirements to get a new passport for the lost passport varies from country to country.

  • Police Report (explained above).
  • Jawazat printout of Iqama details.
  • Copy of the lost passport.
  • The national identity card.
  • Copy of Iqama.
  • Fee for the new passport.

Requirement for the lost passport – India

  • Fill out an application: https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in
  • Annexure F- Affidavit for a passport in lieu of the lost passport.
  • Police Report.
  • Jawasat printout of Iqama details.
  • Two recent passport-size photographs.
  • Photocopy of Passport.
  • Copy of valid Iqama.
  • SR 564 fee.

Requirement for the lost passport – Pakistan

  • Copy of the lost passport.
  • The national identity card.
  • Copy of Iqama.
  • SR 168 for 5 years and SR 303 for 10 years passport.
