Saudi Security Police – شرطة الأمن
The first type of police is the general security police often called شرطة in Saudi Arabia. They are responsible to maintain peace all around the country.

Saudi Traffic Police – شرطة المرور
The second most common type of police in Saudi Arabia is the traffic police generally known as المرور.
As the name suggests, the primary responsibility of this police is to maintain the traffic flow by ensuring compliance with the traffic rules.

Saudi Religious Police – هيئة
Haya also known as متوع is a special type of police in Saudi Arabia with the prime responsibility to ensure morality therefore, it is called religious police.
From 1980 until the death of King Abdullah, the religious police used to have more power than any other police in the country which resulted in the misuse of authority sometimes.
Taking action, King Salman took many of their powers, and now they are not seen as very active.

Hajj and Umrah special forces
The special force for Hajj and Umrah is responsible to maintain security in Masjid al-Haram, Makkah, and Masjid al-Nabawi in Madina. They are responsible to protect the entry and exit gates of both the Masjids.
- Uniform: Grey, Black, and Mint.
- Cars: White and Mint color.
Diplomatic Security Special Forces – الأمن الدبلوماسي
Diplomatic Security Special Forces are the type of police who is responsible to protect the diplomats, embassies, and consulates in Saudi Arabia. You will find them in front of any embassy or consulate.
- Uniform: Beige color with dotted brown.
- Cars: White and coffee color.
Saudi Royal Guard – الحرس الملكي
Saudi Royal Guard is special police trained to protect the Royal family (House of Saud) and the presidents and prime ministers of different countries visiting Saudi Arabia.
- Uniform: Black Color.
- Cars: Black Color.
Saudi Secret Agency – المباحث العامة
Secret Agency is generally known as Mabaheth in Saudi Arabia. It is responsible to deals with domestic security and counter-intelligence.
- Uniform: They don’t wear any uniform.
- Cars: They don’t drive any special cars.
Saudi Armed Forces – لحَرَس الوَطنيّ
Saudi Army has a standing force of 125,000 troops which serves both as a defense force against external attack and as an Internal security force.
