Now an employee in Saudi Arabia can issue a self exit re-entry visa خروج وعودة or apply for his family members (dependents) through Absher.
Type of Exit Reentry Visa
There are 2 types of exit reentry visas in Saudi Arabia namely single entry visa and multiple entry visa. Both of the procedures have been explained below;
- Single Exit Reentry Visa allows you to exit and then re-enter Saudi Arabia only one time within its validity.
- Multiple Exit Reentry Visa lets you exit and re-enter Saudi Arabia as many times as you want within its validity.
Self Exit Re-entry Visa – Employees
Requirements
After the new labor reforms, employees can apply for the single exit re-entry visa for themselves through Absher with the following conditions;
- Minimum iqama validity for exit re-entry: 3 months in addition to the visa duration.
- The maximum duration for visa = 30 days.
The above-mentioned requirements are only applicable for the self-exit re-entry visa through Absher.
Procedure
- Log in to your Absher account https://www.absher.sa/
- Click on the “Services” tab under My Services.
- Select “Passports” from the given options.
- Click on “Visa Requests“.
On the next page;
- Scroll down until you find the option to “Create Request for Visa“.
- Request Type: Exit Re-entry Visa (Single).
- Return Before: Max 30 days.
- Click on the “Next” button.
- Click on the “Confirm” button to request the exit re-entry visa.
New Rules for Exit Re-entry visa
The following rules are applicable for the self exit re-entry visa through Absher;
- The employer will have a period of 10 days to approve or reject the request.
- If the employer approves the visa, the employee will have 5 days to issue the exit re-entry visa.
- If the employer rejects the visa, the MOL will review the objection and make the decision on it within 10 days from the initial request.
- If the employer does not respond within 10 days, the request would be deemed accepted.
If you don’t meet the requirements, the system will show the following error. In this case, you can ask your employer to issue the visa in a traditional way.
Error: Sorry, you are not eligible to create a visa request, please contact with General directorate of passports.
Apply for Exit Re-entry Visa – Dependents
Requirements
In order to apply for the exit re-entry visa for dependents, the following conditions must be met.
- Passport validity – 3 months beyond the period of the visa.
- Minimum iqama validity for exit re-entry – The Iqama holder must return 7 days before the Iqama expiry date.
- Payment of fee for the exit re-entry visa.
- No newborn dependent without Iqama in KSA.
- No unpaid violation.
Procedure
- Log in to your Absher account https://www.absher.sa/
- Click on the “Services” tab under Family Members.
- Select “Visa Services” from the given options.
- Click on the “Next” button.
On the next page, you will find the list of all dependents;
- Select the dependent by clicking on the “More Details“.
- Select “Issue Visa” from the given option.
- Agree to the terms and conditions.
- Click “OK” to proceed with the issuance of an exit re-entry visa.
Single or Multiple
- At this stage, you can select whether you want to apply for a single or multiple exit re-entry visas.
- Make sure you apply for the same period for which you have paid the fee.
- Click on the “Confirm” button to issue the exit re-entry visa.
- If you want to take a print of the exit re-entry visa, you will find the option on this screen.
- The visa holder will have to travel within 3 months of issuing the visa. If he does not travel, a fine will be imposed.
- If your program of leaving Saudi Arabia changes in the future, you should cancel your exit re-entry visa.
