Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended new short-term visas, including business, e-tourist, and family visit visas, for citizens of 14 countries as part of efforts to regulate travel ahead of the Hajj season. However, this rule does not apply to those coming on a Permanent family visa or a Hajj visa.
Travelers from these countries with valid visas can enter the Kingdom until April 13, 2025. They must leave by April 29, 2025.
The moratorium, set to take effect on April 13, 2025, applies to nationals of;
- India.
- Egypt.
- Pakistan.
- Yemen.
- Tunisia.
- Morocco.
- Jordan.
- Nigeria.
- Algeria.
- Indonesia.
- Iraq.
- Sudan.
- Bangladesh.
- Libya.
The decision comes after logistical issues and overcrowding were observed during the last Hajj season, when many pilgrims reportedly entered the country with non-pilgrimage visas.
Saudi authorities announced new restrictions to help manage arrivals and ensure safety and organization for the upcoming Hajj and the pilgrims.
