WhatsApp has finally allowed its users to edit their sent messages which was a long-awaited and demanded function by its users.
In case you have sent a wrong message or with incorrect information, now you have the option to rectify it within 15 minutes of the message being sent.
How to edit a WhatsApp message?
Long-press on a sent message and choose ‘Edit’ from the menu within 15 minutes a message is sent.
Edited messages will display ‘edited’ alongside them, so those you’re messaging are aware of the correction without showing edit history.
Is this feature available to everyone?
This feature has started rolling out to users globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. Telegram and Signal already allow users to edit messages.
