Taif to Break Records: World’s Highest Mountain Media Facade Coming to Al-Hada Mountain

If you’ve ever driven the winding, scenic roads of Al-Hada Mountain on your way to Makkah, you know the views are already breathtaking. But soon, there will be a record-breaking reason to look up.

Ruyah Faidah (Vision Plus), the Saudi subsidiary of the digital tech leader 3D Factory Korea, has officially received pre-approval from Guinness World Records™ for the “World’s Highest Media Facade” right here in the Kingdom.

A Digital Beacon at 1,738 Meters

Perched at a staggering altitude of 1,738 meters above sea level, this massive digital installation is being described as a “digital beacon.” Its location is highly strategic:

  • Primary Route to Makkah: It stands on the main artery for pilgrims and travelers.
  • Global Visibility: It serves as a greeting to the millions of Muslims visiting the Holy City.
  • Vision 2030 in Action: This project aligns with the Kingdom’s goals to modernize infrastructure and boost tourism through cutting-edge technology.

Partnership with Taif Municipality

The project is the result of a 10-year exclusive partnership with the Taif Municipality. Despite the rugged terrain, the project utilizes non-intrusive laser technology and driver-safe media façade systems designed to provide a stunning yet distraction-free visual experience that harmonizes with the natural landscape.

“This record-breaking achievement is a powerful testament to our world-class technological capabilities and our commitment to advancing Saudi Arabia’s digital future,” stated Mr. Brian Oh, Chairman & CEO of Ruyah Faidah and 3D Factory Korea. “We are grateful to the Saudi Government and Taif Municipality for their trust. This project will elevate Taif’s global profile, bolster tourism, and drive long-term economic growth.”

What This Means for Taif

Taif is already famous for its roses and cool summer climate, but this “Digital Landmark” adds a futuristic edge to the city’s charm.

  • Strong Backing: The initial $6.5 million phase received over 50% of its funding from the Saudi-based Zetta Technology.
  • Commercial Launch: Full operations are set for April. The company has already secured contracts with global companies, with all content curated to meet local and cultural standards.
  • Expansion: Following a VIP and Guinness event in March, the company will launch Phase 2, effectively doubling its current investment.
  • Long-term Yields: The company aims to reach an operating profit of $150 million by 2034.

Whether you are a local resident or a visitor heading to Makkah, keep an eye on the Al-Hada skyline this Spring—it’s about to get a lot brighter.
