How to pay Maktab Amal fees online?

All of us know that we have to pay the Maktab Amal fee either online or through an ATM to the Ministry of Labor for iqama renewal. In this article, we have explained the procedure to pay work permit levy through internet banking and ATM.

Before starting anything, we need to know how much you need to pay as the Ministry of Labor fee. We have given a Maktab Amal fee calculator to compute it. 

Get the SADAD Number

Open Ministry of Labor Website from this link. There is no English version available, so you don’t need to waste your time to look for the English version of the website. You need to select خدمة رقصة العمل from the نوع الخدمة as shown in the screenshot.

Enter your Iqama Number, enter the CAPTCHA code and click on the tab to continue to check the status of the Maktab al Amal fee or payment levy online.

  • The SADAD number provided here will be used to pay the levy online.
  • There is another information provided which is called حالة السداد or status of payment of maktab amal fee.

Check payment status of the work permit levy

While checking the status of the Maktab al Amal fee or work permit levy, you can come across three different kinds of messages.

  • تم السداد: If this message appears on your computer screen while checking the status of Maktab al Amal fee, it means the payment levy has been made on your account and there is no pending payment.
  • قيد السداد: If this message appears, it means that the payment of levy has not been made yet.
  • منتھي الصلاحیة: If this message appears it means that the payment of levy has not been made from a long time and it has expired. Now your sponsor will have to contact Labor Office before making the payment for work permit levy.

How to pay Maktab Amal fees online?

Al Rajhi Bank

In order to pay Maktab Amal fee online using Al Rajhi Bank, login to your account and click on the Payments tab given in the top banner. A drop-down list will appear from where you need to click on “SADAD”. A new page will open and you need to click on “SADAD Bills” to proceed.

A page will open detailing all your registered SADAD bills, you need to click on the “Add New Bills”.

 

After this, select “Government Services” and “Ministry of Labor” in Utility Service Provider. In the third tab, enter the SADAD payment reference which you obtained from the Ministry of Labor website at the first step above to pay Maktab-al-Amal Fee and click on “Proceed”.

Al Rajhi bank will send you an SMS to confirm that you want to add this SADAD bill. You can pay the bill, after the verification. Bank Al Ahli

In order to pay Maktab Amal fee using an NCB account, log in to your account and click on the “SADAD” tab. A drop-down menu will appear from where you need to click on the “SADAD Payments”.

The Bank Al Ahli system will show you all the beneficiaries already added to your account. You need to click on the “Add New Bill” option here.

On the next screen, you need to select the following options to pay Maktab Amal fee online. 

  • Biller Group: Government Agencies
  • Biller: Ministry of Labor. The SADAD biller code of the Ministry of Labor is 050.
  • Subscriber Number: Enter the SADAD number which you obtained from the Ministry of Labor website at the first step above

SAMBA Bank

SAMBA Bank customers can also pay the Maktab Amal fee online by logging to their internet banking account. After the login, click on the “SADAD” and then select the “Define Bills” option. A new screen will appear from where you need to click on the “Add” button.

On the next screen, you need to select the following options to pay Maktab Amal fee online. 

  • Service Category: Government Sectors
  • Utility Name: Ministry of Labor
  • Bill Number: Enter the SADAD number which you obtained from the Ministry of Labor website at the first step above.

What is Maktab Amal?

Maktab Amal (مكتب العمل) is a word used for labor office. مكتب means office and العمل means labour. Every expatriate has to pay work permit levy also called Maktab Amal fee to the Ministry of Labor before the Iqama renewal.

Who will pay the Maktab Amal fee?

As per Article 40 (1) of Saudi Labor Law, the payment of Maktab Amal fee is the responsibility of the employer. Expatriates who are legally employed in companies and establishments are not much worried about the fee as it is paid by their employers. However, those who are working illegally on Azad Visa have to pay the Maktab Amal fee themselves.

Is the maktab amal fee refundable?

Unfortunately, the maktab amal fee paid to the Ministry of Labor is non-refundable. If by any chance you have to go on a final exit before or after renewing your Iqama, you cannot ask for a refund for this fee.
