Students above 12 years
The Ministry of Education has announced that only fully vaccinated students can return to schools in Saudi Arabia starting from the education year on Aug 29.

Students below 12 years
Children below the age of 12 will continue online classes until the earlier of;
- 70% herd immunity is achieved through double dosage that means 24 million people or;
- 30th of October.
In other words, the schools for children below 12 years would open physically maximum by Nov 01, 2021.
According to the MOH data, 27 million people have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine in Saudi Arabia.
