No more Facemask/Tawakkalna in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has decided to lift all coronavirus preventive measures effective immediately as a result of which;

1- No need to wear a facemask in open or closed places with the following exceptions;

  • Masjid al-Haram in Makkah.
  • Masjid al Nabawi in Madina.
  • Health facilities, public events, airplanes, and public transportation.
  • Places for which protocols are issued by the Ministry of Health.

2- No need to show Tawakkalna to enter facilities, activities, events and activities, board planes, and public transportation.

3- Saudi nationals are required to get the 3rd dose within 8 months of getting the second dose to leave the country with the exception of the age groups specified or excluded by the Ministry of Health.

The point 3 is not applicable on Non-Saudis living in Saudi Arabia as they can leave the country no matter what their vaccination status is.

The ministry continues to encourage people to take the third booster shot to protect themselves from the virus.
