Islamic Meaning: Seeing mountains in a dream

Seeing a dream where you are climbing a mountain or falling from a green mountain could have many meanings and interpretations in Islam.

On Top of a Mountain

According to Ibn Sirin رحمة الله عليه, the most incredible dream interpreter of Islam, seeing mountains and hills in a dream represent people. Their size, height, and mass show their ranks and positions.

According to Prophet Daniyal عليه السلام, seeing yourself on top of a mountain that you own in a dream means that an elderly and respectable person would take the dreamer in his custody.

Living in a house at the peak of a mountain in a dream is interpreted as gaining respect from the king and being appointed by him.

According to Ibn Sirin رحمة الله عليه, the greatest dream interpreter of Islam, seeing yourself calling Adhan on a mountain and then offering prayer in a dream means that the work of the dreamer shall be completed with ease.

Climbing a mountain in a dream is interpreted as gaining respect and position.

Climbing a mountain in a straight path during a dream signifies confronting reality as it is.

Climbing a mountain in a dream until you reach a flat surface means that you will serve orphans or care for sick people.

Dreaming about climbing a mountain and enjoying its plants and clean, fresh water means that you are protecting your purity with your wife. It can also mean gaining skills or knowledge that will help you meet your needs.

If climbing the mountain is easy, it does not benefit that dream. Benefits come from facing hardships.

If someone thanks Allah Almighty at the end of climbing the mountain and reflects on what they have achieved in their dream, they will be a just ruler.

If you dream about going down a mountain, you may lose your status, face financial trouble, or feel regret.

Falling from the mountain

Falling from the mountain in a dream means that one shall lose his respect and credibility.

According to Jabar Maghrabi رحمة الله عليه, falling into the mountains is a sign of sadness and sorrow.  

Falling from the top of a mountain into a place filled with wild animals, like crows, vultures, snakes, and various mammals, as well as mud, filth, or rats, in a dream means avoiding sins. If you can escape these dangers and find your way into a mosque to pray or to a peaceful garden to relax, it shows you have chosen the right path by staying away from harmful innovations.

Mountain Shaking

If a mountain crumbles and turns into ashes or dirt in a dream, the person in the dream will lose their devotion and waste their life.

Seeing a dream where a mountain is shaking yet soon restores its balance means that a renowned person would get ill yet recover from his illness.

According to Hafiz Muabbar رحمة الله عليه, collecting stones from several mountains and then putting them on the mountains is a sign of collecting and storing wealth.

Throwing stones from the top of a mountain in a dream means insulting others.

Carrying a Mountain

Holding a mountain in your arms in a dream is a sign that the dreamer would pose services for a big person and shall attain wellness and monetary relief.

If you dream about swallowing a mountain, it means you can control strong and challenging people.

Dreaming of carrying a mountain means taking on the heavy responsibility of managing a well-known merchant’s business. This duty will weigh significantly on you.
