Seeing yourself eating honey or being stung by a honey bee in a dream could have many meanings in Islam depending upon the context.
Seeing Honey in a Dream
1- According to Ibn Sirin رحمة الله عليه the greatest dream interpreter of Islam, seeing honey with the honeycomb means that the dreamer shall attain his wish or rightful wealth/inheritance.
2- According to Ibrahim Karmani رحمة الله عليه seeing honey in a dream is a blessing among the wealthy and is good deed among the deeds.
3- Seeing honey in a dream means that one shall attain knowledge and wisdom proportional to the quantity of honey in the dream.
4- Distributing honey in a dream in a way that people eat that honey means that people shall benefit from his wisdom and knowledge.
5- Seeing the rain of honey from the sky in a dream means that the people of the area would be blessed with fortune, blessings, and wealth.
Seeing Honeycomb in a Dream
6- Seeing a honeycomb/beehive in a dream represents rightful earnings that one gets without many efforts.
7- If one sees a dream where he gets a honeycomb full of honey and then eats honey from it and does not share with anyone then he shall attain rightful wealth which will be blessed for him.
Seeing Honey Bee in a Dream
8- According to Ibn Sirin رحمة الله عليه honey bee in a dream is a sign of extended and huge earnings for male while for a woman it means who has ability and skills to earn money.
9- Catching honey bee in the dream means that he would attain proportional wealth.
10- According to Jabir Maghrabi رحمة الله عليه seeing yourself covered with honey bees such that they have bitten him then it means he would attain wealth and blessings but with sorrows.
11- Seeing honey bees eating honey in a dream means that the dreamer shall face losses and pain.
12- If the dreamer has taken honey from the honey bees in a dream than it means that he shall listen to good and meaningful talks and would benefit from them.
Dream meaning by Prophet Muhammad
A Sahabi dreamed of a cloud that provided shade and dropped butter and honey, which people gathered. In the dream, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ascended a rope from the earth to the sky, followed by three men.
Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه interpreted the dream as;
- the cloud represented Islam.
- the drops of honey and butter represented the sweetness of the Quran.
- The rope represented Truth, and Allah would raise those who follow it.
- Prophet Muhammad ﷺ confirmed Abu Bakr’s interpretation was partly correct.
