Seeing a big fish or catching and eating a raw or fried fish in a dream could have many meanings and interpretations in Islam.

According to Prophet Daniyal عليه السلام, the meaning to see fish in a dream depends on the temperature of the water and the size of fish;

• Fish in a warm river = Hard luck, problems.
• Fish in a cold river = Happiness.
• Small Sized Fish = Hard luck, problems.
• Big Sized Fish = Happiness, spoils of war, treasure.

Humanlike Fish

If you dream of fish resembling humans, you may be involved in business, trading, or meeting with an interpreter or translator.

Sea Fish Swimming

Dreaming about sea fish swimming into freshwater or river fish swimming into the sea represents hypocrisy, dishonesty, or the rise of a fraud or innovator.

If you dream of fish swimming on the surface of water, it means you will easily achieve your goals. 

Catching a fish

Catching a big fish in a dream means he would marry a wealthy woman.

Catching a small fish means difficulties, burdens, and stress. Because fish carry more spikes than meat, they are more challenging to eat.

If you dream of finding one or two pearls in a fish’s belly, you will marry a rich woman and have one or two sons with her.

If someone dreams of finding a ring inside a fish, it means that person will gain power and authority.

Dreaming about finding fat in a fish’s belly means you will get money from a woman.

According to Jabar Maghrabi رحمة الله عليه, if you dream about eating raw fish that has not been cleaned or cooked, it could mean several things. You might speak badly about your friends, slander associates, commit adultery, or gain money through trickery. 

Eating a fried fish in a dream means your prayers will be answered in dreams.

Eating a cooked fish in a dream suggests you will travel or seek knowledge.

Attaining a fish’s blood, stomach, and bones in a dream signifies that the dreamer will achieve wealth, happiness, and blessings. 

Eating a rotten fish in a dream means pursuing adultery and avoiding a lawful marriage.

Catching fish from the water and eating them alive often leads to profit or a prestigious role in awareness.

According to Ibn Sirin رحمة الله عليه, the greatest dream interpreter of Islam, gifting someone a dry fish in a dream is a sign of attaining losses from a rich man.

Seeing dead fish floating in water in a dream can mean something terrible. It may represent a situation that feels hopeless. 

If a sick person or a traveler dreams of finding fish in their bed, it signals a serious illness, painful arthritis, or the danger of drowning while sleeping with them.

Suppose someone dreams of an aquarium at home filled with various catfish or angelfish. In that case, it signifies a need to be charitable or to take care of orphans and consider adopting children.

Coming out of a fish’s mouth in a dream means the dreamer is a liar. 

According to Ismail Isha’at رحمة الله علي, selling fish in a dream is a sign that he and his family would be blessed with happiness and well-being.

Talking to fish in a dream means that the dreamer would spill the secret or classified information of the King/State.
