Islamic Meaning: Seeing a Pig in a Dream

Seeing a black pig chasing you or eating the pork meat of a dead pig in a dream could be a scary experience that has different meanings in Islam.

1- Seeing a pig in a dream may also symbolize presiding over people with differing opinions, divorce, negative events, being wasteful, developing negative traits, earning illicit money, or having a large offspring.

2- According to Ibn Sirin رحمة الله عليه, the greatest dream interpreter of Islam, seeing a group of pigs is a sign of getting wealth.

Eating Pork Meat

3- Eating pork meat from a dead pig in a dream means that the dreamer is earning interest money, which is considered Haram in Islam.

4-  Eating pig’s meat (pork), bone skin, meat, or any other body part in a dream signifies that the person would earn haram money.

Baby Pigs

5- Little pigs in a dream symbolize hardships and troubles for their owner or the dreamer.

6- If one dreams of little pigs entering your house, it signifies that someone is checking your private life.

7- If one dreams of kicking small pigs out of his house, it signifies that he will resign from government employment.

Living among pigs

8- According to Ibrahim Karmani رحمة الله عليه, protecting pigs in a dream means that the dreamer is doing a lot for his worldly life but not enough for the life after death. 

9- Roaming among pigs in a dream is a sign that the dreamer is happy in doing things prohibited in Islam.

19- If you see a dream in which your head resembles a pig, it is interpreted as moving away from Allah Almighty and committing Shirk.

Dream Meaning by Prophet Suleman

20- A man asked Prophet Suleman عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ that he saw a garden filled with fruit trees in his dream where many pigs were grazing. One of the large pigs who was sitting said: ‘O man, this fruit garden belongs to these pigs.”

Prophet Suleman عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ replied: The large pig represents an unjust ruler, and the small pigs eating from that garden by his permission are the scholars who receive their reward from him for changing the laws to his liking. These are the people who sell the reward of the hereafter for the price of this world and do not ponder upon God’s punishment for their sins.
