Saudi Arabia is celebrating its 90th Saudi National Day on the 23rd of September 2020. In this regard, the Ministry of Labor has announced holidays in the private and the public sector.
Saudi National Day Holidays in the Public Sector
The public sector employees will be enjoying 2 days’ holidays on Saudi National Day i.e. 23rd and 24th September. In fact, they will go on a 4 days long weekend.
Saudi National Day Holidays in the Private Sector
The employees working in the private sector would go only for one day Holiday on the 23rd of September 2020. They will have to join back the offices on Thursday, 24th September 2020.

Overtime
We take this opportunity to educate the people working in Saudi Arabia that every employee is entitled to the national day off on 23rd September.
However, if due to any reason your company cannot grant you a holiday on the National day, you are entitled to either a compensatory off day or overtime at the rate 50% above the wage rate.
