Indian arrested for receiving drugs parcel through Saudi post

It has been reported by the local news that a Saudi citizen along with an Indian has been arrested in an alleged drug case. Smuggling of drugs is a major crime with the punishment of the death penalty.

The residents of Riyadh have been found guilty of receiving a postal parcel that contained (205,429) amphetamine tablets i.e. a prohibited drug.

The spokesman for the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC), Maj. Mohammad Al-Nujaidi, assured that a security follow-up is being observed to crack down the entire network involved in the case so that all culprits would attain theirs due to their punishment.

If Indian and Saudi nationals are proven guilty, they might be sentenced to death for drugs smuggling in Saudi Arabia.

The drug smugglers fell in the drug net that had been set up in cooperation with an agency operational in Bahrain and with the Kingdom’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.
