Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) has launched a bachelor’s level degree in cinema and theater for the first time in Saudi Arabia.
Prince Dr. Saad Bin Saud, the Dean of the College of Media and Communication confirmed that the new batch of students will be able to pursue a degree in Theater and Cinema.

He also told that this degree will help in the development of the cultural, artistic, and entertainment sectors in Saudi Arabia. It will also cultivate our creative national talent.
The program has been developed by international experts so that the students after completing their degrees can find professional jobs.
What is the scope of this degree?
This is not a limited field, holders of this degree can opt for script writing, films, and theater directing, dramatic production, animation production, theatrical and cinematic performance skills, audio-visual effects, art management, and others.
He also told that the College of Media and Communication will also be giving out postgraduate diplomas in media classified professions by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
