GCAM fines a Saudi social media star SR 100,000

It has been reported that a social media star has been fined over her insensitive, anti-family remarks. She is liable to pay a fine of  SR 100,000. Her license has also been revoked.

She made a video using phrases inflicting damage to family and family values.

Although the General Commission for Audiovisual Media (GCAM) has not disclosed her name, many believe she is Asma Al Sayari.

Al Sayari is a renowned content creator with 1.8 million followers on TikTok, a famous social media platform. In her video, she was seen telling men to abandon certain acts.

Over the recent months, the concerned authorities have been exposing the social media users involved in cyber offenses and violating public moral rules.
