Islamic Meaning: Fasting in a Dream

Seeing yourself fasting in Ramadan or any other month could be a spiritual experience. In Islam, fasting has many meanings, as explained in different interpretations.

According to Ibn Sirin رحمة الله عليه, the most incredible dream interpreter of Islam, fasting in dreams is interpreted as repenting of sins.

If the dreamer sees that he is backbiting while fasting in a dream, he is not loyal to his faith.

Islamic Meaning: Fasting in a Dream

According to Ibrahim Karmani رحمة الله عليه, a 16th-century scholar of Islam, seeing the month of Ramadan in a dream is interpreted as the shrinkness of wealth and food.

Some dream interpreters reveal that fasting during Ramadan in a dream is interpreted as getting free from sadness and worries; his loan will get paid off.

According to Imam Jafar Sadiq رحمة الله عليه, an 8th-century scholar of Islam, jurist, and theologian, if the dreamer sees that he has opened his fast before the Iftar time, he will face issues while he travels or gets sick. 

Fasting in a month other than Ramadan means the dreamer will attain health from sickness.

Fasting for one year continuously in a dream means that the dreamer will soon travel to perform Hajj.

Fasting on the 10th of Muharram in a dream is interpreted as getting freedom from sadness and worries.
