According to Islam, masturbation while fasting breaks the fast if sperms are ejaculated (or sexual vaginal secretions in the case of women).

Does masturbation break the fast?

Hadith related to Masturbation

What if I masturbate while fasting?

If you are someone who has masturbated while fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, you will have to offer a Qada, not Kaffara.

  • Qaza for fasting: One-day fasting after Ramadan.
  • Kaffara for fasting: free a slave or fast for two months or feed 60 poor people.

In other words, if you have broken your fast with masturbation, you will have to make up with one day of fasting after Ramadan.

Do wet dreams break the fast?
