Direct entry for 4 types of expats from 10 banned countries

Saudi Arabia has allowed direct entry for 4 types of expats from 10 banned countries including India and Pakistan.

4 types of expats allowed direct entry

The following groups of expats and their dependents do not need to stay in another country for 14 days before entering Saudi Arabia even if they are coming from the 10 banned countries.

  1. Faculty members in universities, colleges, and institutes.
  2. Expat teachers in public schools.
  3. Training Authority at the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and training institutes.
  4. Scholarship Students.

Requirement for Institutional Quarantine

These expats are still required to undergo an institutional quarantine unless they have taken any of the following sets of vaccines.

  • Iqama holders whose status is shown as “Immune” in tawakkalna;
    • immediately after taking 2 Doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
    • 14 days after taking one dose of coronavirus vaccine.
  • 2 doses of Pfizer BioNTech.
  • 2 doses of Oxford AstraZeneca.
  • 2 doses of Moderna.
  • 1 dose of Johnson s Janssen.
  • 2 doses of Sinopharm + 1 dose of either Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnsons Janssen, or Moderna.
  • 2 doses of Sinovac + 1 dose of either Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnsons Janssen, or Moderna.

  2. Pakistan.
  3. Brazil.
  4. Turkey.
  5. Lebanon.
