The number of coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia has reached 1,453 out of which 115 people have fully recovered and discharged from the hospital.
The Ministry of Health announced the recovery of 49 patients from coronavirus in a single day on March 30, 2020.
Unfortunately, the total number of deaths reported in Saudi Arabia so far is 8 which brings the mortality rate in Saudi Arabia to 0.55% as compared to the worldwide average of 4.70%. However, there are no deaths of COVID-19 reported today.

Major Steps by the Saudi Govt to contain COVID-19
Saudi Arabia has taken many steps to control the spread of coronavirus in the Kingdom. We have highlighted some of these steps below.
29 March 2020: The Ministry of Interior has extended the curfew timings in Jeddah from 3:00 pm to 6:00 am.
28 March 2020: Saudi Arabia extended the curfew in selected districts of Madina to 24 hours.
25 March 2020: Considering the high number of cases reported from specific regions, King Salman extended the curfew time from 3:00 pm to 6:00 am in Riyadh, Makkah and Madina cities.
Moreover, traveling between all 13 regions of Saudi Arabia is banned.
23 March 2020: King Salman imposed a curfew from 7:00 pm until 6:00 am in the morning for a period of 21 days all across the country.
20 March 2020: Jawazat announced that the Saudi government has waived off the dependent fee and maktab amal fee of all expatriates in Saudi Arabia for 3 months. In other words, their Iqama will automatically be renewed for 3 months.
20 March 2020: The Ministry of Interior instructed to close down all domestic flights, buses, trains and taxis all across the country.
16 March 2020: The Ministry of Labor announced two weeks off to the private sector employees working in the head offices and instructed employers to work with 40% of staff in the branch offices.
16 March 2020: The Saudi government announced the closure of all government offices in the Kingdom except the health sector, security, and military. Moreover, SAMA announced to close down all banks for 2 weeks.
15 March 2020: Saudi Arabia closed down all shopping malls, entertainment places, dine-in in restaurants. Only grocery stores and necessary shops were allowed to remain open.
14 March 2020: The Ministry of Labor announced a mandatory 14 days medical leave to all new entrants to Saudi Arabia.
14 March 2020: Saudi Arabia canceled all international flights from all around the world for a period of 2 weeks.
12 March 2020: Saudi Arabia bans flights from 50 countries to Saudi Arabia. All these countries were badly affected by the coronavirus.
11 March 2020: The first patient recovered from coronavirus in Saudi Arabia.
04 March 2020: The Saudi Government imposed a ban on performing Umrah even for domestic pilgrims.
02 March 2020: The first case of coronavirus was reported from Saudi Arabia.
