The medical team who attended his wife told their decision to remove his wife uterus with a dead fetus which came as a tragic and unbearable news for the couple. He said the medical team had surgically removed the dead fetus along with the uterus and handed to him what he thought was a fetus.

He performed the Janaza prayer and buried it in the cemetery. After three days a call was received from the hospital which shocked him to the extent. The hospital administrations called to say they mistakenly gave uterus instead of the fetus and the fetus was shifted to the hospital nursery.

The man was surprised to hear such statement from the hospital management. He said, “Why the fetus was transferred to the nursery in the first place and why we were not informed of this. All these questions were raised in the complaint I submitted to the hospital management.”

This cause the matter of anger when the hospital management ignored his complaint and did not offer any gesture apologizing for their mistake and nor did they promise to open an investigation. This show irresponsibility of the hospital management.

The man said after getting ignored from the hospital management he called Ministry of Health emergency number 937 to report the incident. He said his wife never suffered from any major or minor illness before the incident of bleeding.

On hearing such incident from the citizen the Al Watan contacted Faleh Al Ruvaili, director of public relations in the health affairs in the northern Border Province. He said, “The citizen had filed a complaint at the time and it was referred to the authority in Rafha health affairs which launched an investigation.

Initial results showed that there was a procedural error in delivering the sample after surgery from the concerned department in the hospital. The investigation is still going on.

God knows better it was a mistake or there was any reason behind this nothing can be clearly said what happened and why they shifted the dead fetus to the nursery. This mystery will soon get solve and everything will clearly come out once the investigation is accomplished.
