How to pay the dependent fee?

Every expatriate with a few exceptions has to pay the dependent fee. Expatriates are really keen to know how to pay the dependent fee in Saudi Arabia and once the fee is paid, how to check dependent fees in Absher or MOI account.

The dependent’s fee will be increased to SR 200 per month from July 2018, SR 300 per month from July 2019 and SR 400 per month from July 2020. The fee has been applicable to all the dependents irrespective of their age. The dependent fee will be paid at the time of renewal of your iqama until the expiry date of next iqama.

How to pay the dependent fee through Al Rajhi bank?

We have explained how to pay the dependent fee in Saudi Arabia. We have used the internet banking account of Al Rajhi Bank but the procedure to pay the dependent fee is the same in other Saudi bank accounts as well.

Open your Internet Banking account and try to locate the “Payments” tab in it. Click on this tab and a drop-down menu will appear from where you will have to click on “SADAD”.

In the next step, you will have to select “Expatriates Service” among many types of services.

In the next step, you will have to select “Payment in transaction type “Fee Collection for all registered associates on the Head of household Iqama” in the application type. You can also select “Fee collection for a Specific Associate” if you want to pay the dependent’s fee separately for any particular dependent.

Enter your Iqama Number in the field of Iqama ID. Next step is to enter the time for which you want to pay the fee. Here you will have to enter your Iqama Expiry date + 1 year.

If you have selected “Fee collection for a Specific Associate”, enter your Iqama number in “Iqama ID” and enter the Iqama number of your dependent in “Associate ID”.  of the dependent for whom you want to pay the fee.

Next step is to enter the time for which you want to pay the fee. Here you will have to enter your Iqama Expiry date + 1 year. Your Iqama will be renewed for one full year, so you need to enter the date of your next Iqama Expiry.

In the next step, you will see an amount to be paid. In the provided screenshot, you can see that the Iqama is to be renewed until 23-04-1442 i.e. Dec 09, 2020. You can see that the dependent’s fee to be paid is SR 8,154.

Dependent Fee in case of Final Exit

Dependent's Fee for Sponsorees

Unfortunately, there is no option in SADAD banking to pay the dependent's fee for sponsorees. Sponsorees are those people who are registered under your Iqama but they are not your dependents.

For example, if your mother, father or sister or housemaid is registered under your Iqama, they are your sponsorees. In order to pay the dependent's fee for sponsorees, you need to pay it in the tab “Associate Fee for all registered Associates”. In this tab, enter their Iqama number, not yours.

How to check dependent fees in Absher or MOI?

Once you have paid the dependent fee, you might be looking for the information to check dependent fee in Abshir or MOI account to ensure that the fee has been paid or not. Many people ask me how to check the dependent fee in Abshir or MOI account.

Unfortunately, as of today, there is no way to check the status of dependent fee in Abshir account. However, if your iqama is renewed in the system after paying the dependent fee, it is a self-assurance that the dependent fee has been paid.
