We have been telling our readers for a long time that working for someone who is not your Kafeel is not allowed as per Saudi Labor Law. Most people don’t take it seriously claiming that people have been working for another employer from a long time. Some people have spent their whole life in Saudi Arabia violating this rule. You are right, but now condition has been changed in Saudi Arabia. If you are caught working for someone other than your Kafeel, there are harsh penalties waiting for you.
Penalties on Expatriate Working for someone Other than Kafeel
The employee shall be deported from the country at his employer expenses and deprived of the right to return to the Kingdom before the lapse of two years from his deportation date.

Provide a copy of the worker's travel documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to prevent him from coming back during the above-mentioned ban period.
In May 2013, Saudi Government announced more harsh penalties upon expatriate who is found working for someone other than Kafeel. According to them, if you are working for someone who is not your Kafeel and you are caught by the passport office (Jawazat), penalties can be severe to you including fine up to SAR 100,000/-, jail of 2 years, final exit, and blacklisting to come again to Saudi Arabia.
