If anybody wants to go out from Saudi Arabia on a temporary basis, he will have to get an exit re-entry visa. The procedure to get an exit re-entry visa has become very easy after the introduction of the MOI account.
- Exit Re-entry visa fees
The first step to get an Exit Re-entry visa in Saudi Arabia is to pay the fee. Now the process of payment of the fee for exit re-entry visa has become very easy. Detailed process has been explained in this article, “Payment of Fee for Exit Re-Entry Visa“.
The fee for the exit re-entry visa is SR 200 for up to 2 months and SR 100 for each additional month. In other words, the fee to get an exit re-entry visa for one year is SR 1,200.
Payment of Dependent Fee
Make sure you have paid the dependent fee up to the iqama expiry date, otherwise, you would not be able to get an exit re-entry visa. If you don’t pay the fee, a message will appear that you don’t have sufficient funds even if you have paid the fee for an exit re-entry visa.
We have explained the procedure to pay the dependent’s fee in this link. However, there is no need to pay dependent's fee for the head of the family exit re-entry visa. How to get an Exit Re-entry visa in Saudi Arabia?
Open account for Abshir Services in Ministry of Interior website. We have already explained the procedure to open the account for Abshir Services in one article “Register for Abshir Services“
Login to your Abshir account on Ministry of Interior website and click on the “Dashboard” tab on the upper side of the screen
The dashboard on your MOI account will be opened. Now you need to locate the “Dependents” tab in it. Once you find the “dependents” tab, just click on the “More Details” button as shown in the below screenshot.
A new window will appear on your computer screen containing details of all your dependents. You need to locate the dependent for which you want to get an Exit Re-Entry Visa. Once you are there, just click on the “More Detail” as shown in the below screenshot.
A drop-down screen will appear containing details of the dependent. You can see if Passport Deposit is appearing there. If it is not appearing, you cannot proceed to issue exit re-entry visa. Click on the “Issue Visa” button
The Validity of Exit Re-Entry Visa
A new screen will appear containing terms and conditions of the exit re-entry visa. You need to agree to the terms and conditions stated here. We have explained these terms below;
- Visa holder will have to travel within 3 months of issuing the visa. If he does not travel, a fine will be imposed. So, if your program of going abroad is changed, you should cancel your exit re-entry visa. There is no charge of canceling exit re-entry visa. However, if you don’t cancel it within the validity of the visa, a fine of SR 1,000 is imposed.
- If your family member has renewed the passport, new passport details would not be appearing on the MOI website. In such a case, you need to contact Mandoob of your company to do “Naqal Maloomat” (Information Transfer)
Iqama Validity for Exit Re-Entry Visa
Recently, the Saudi Government has reduced the maximum time within which an Iqama holder needs to come back to Saudi Arabia. Now you can get an exit re-entry visa until only 10 days before the iqama expiry date.
In other words, in order to get an exit re-entry visa, you need to have a minimum iqama validity of at least more than 10 days.
Saudi Exit Re-entry visa duration
There are two options; you can either select the number of days or the date before which the traveler must come back. We would suggest here that you select the second option which is “Return before”.
The date which you will enter here will be 10 days before the date of expiry of Iqama. It will give you maximum time. If all the details mentioned are correct, you can confirm the issuance of exit re-entry visa. The maximum Saudi Exit Re-Entry Visa duration is 12 months.
You can see in the attached screenshot that the amount of exit re-entry visa for 2 months is SR 1,170. i.e. SR 970 for Dependent's fee and SR 200 for exit re-entry visa for 60 days.
Do we have to print exit re-entry visa?
Although it is not required to print visa since no one on the Saudi airports demand it. But you should take a hard copy along with passport. If you don’t carry the hard copy, you may have to face some problems while coming back from your country.
Immigration officers in your country may ask for the hard copy. However, you can check the status of exit re-entry visa online and show it to immigration officer if you have internet access on your mobile phone. Recommended: Check Status of Exit Re-Entry Visa Online
Exit Re-entry visa Saudi Arabia requirements
- All traffic violations against Dependents or sponsor must be paid.
- Sponsor or Dependents does not have any earlier issued Visa cancellation penalty
- Dependents have no (Previous) Valid Visas
- Dependents should be present in the Kingdom at the time of issuance of ER Visa
- The passport must be valid for at least 3 months at the time of applying for an exit re-entry visa.
- Fingerprint Enrollment status should be present for all Male Dependents above the age of 6.
