How to open a new Al Rajhi Bank account online?

Now you can open a new current or saving account with Al Rajhi Bank online using their mobile application with minimal required documents.

Requirements

You can apply to open an account if the following conditions are met;

• A Valid Iqama.
• An active Absher account.
• A valid National Address Registration.
• A valid Mobile Number.
• Passport Number.
• Al Rajhi Bank mobile app from the Play Store or the App Store.

To open a new Al Rajhi account online in Saudi Arabia.

• Open the application.
• Click on the Sign Up button.
• Select “Open New Account“.
• Enter your mobile number and Iqama number.
• Agree to the terms and conditions.
• Enter the OTP received on your mobile.

Step 1: Iqama Details

• Select Nationality.
• ID Type: Iqama.
• Enter Mobile Number.
• Select the Title.

Step 2: Employment Details

• Expected Amount of Transaction: Gross Salary.
• Monthly Income: Gross Salary.
• Passport Number: Enter the Passport Number.
• Employment Status: Employee.
• Job Category: Private Sector Employee.
• Employer Name: Full name of Kafeel.

Step 3: Personal Information

At this stage of opening Al Rajhi Bank account online, a pop-up window will appear;

• Click on “Yes“.
• Enter the Verification Code sent to your mobile.
• Select Marital Status.
• Select the place of birth.
• Enter your registered national address.
• Enter the address in your home country.
• Select the branch where you want to open the account.

Step 4: Financial Information

While filling the online form to open an account with Al Rajhi bank, the system will ask for some financial information;

• Primary Income: Salary.
• Do you have any accounts with other banks: Yes/No.
• Add the account details if the answer is Yes.
• Do you have another nationality? Yes/No.
• Purpose of Account Opening: Personal.
• Expected Average Balance per month: Gross Salary X 3.

Step 5: Authentication

Now you would be required to enter the username and password for your internet banking.

• On the next page, click on “Submit Application“.
• Now the system will take you to the Nifaz website.
• Enter your Absher username and Password to authenticate it.
• You can visit any of their branches to collect the ATM.

Congratulations! You have successfully opened a new Al Rajhi Bank account online.

My personal suggestion

You should open an account with this bank only if you live in a remote area where Al Rajhi is the only option or your employer is one of the approved employers to get a credit card and bank loan.

Otherwise, the customer service of this bank is pathetic and you cannot get a credit card from them if your employer is not an approved employer.
