5 arrested for insulting Pakistani Minister in Madina

Madina Police have arrested 5 Pakistanis for “abusing and insulting” two federal Ministers in Masjid al-Nabawi.

It all happened when the newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan visited Saudi Arabia with his delegates on his first foreign trip.

As soon as the delegates entered Masjid al Nabawi, some Pakistani nationals started chanting the slogan “Chor Chor” which means thieves.

Saudi Embassy in Islamabad confirmed some Pakistani nationals were arrested for violating the sanctity of the Masjid-e-Nabawi and an investigation had been launched into the matter, according to local media.

The spokesperson for the Madina Police said the suspects were “referred to the competent authorities after legal procedures were completed against them.”
