2 men and 1 woman arrested in Jeddah for prostitution

The Criminal Court of Jeddah has just found two Arab national men and a female accomplice of being guilty of the act of running an establishment for the purpose of prostitution, also known as a brothel, in the southern part of Jeddah. This news was reported by a local publication in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Criminal Court of Jeddah found that the group or prostitution ring leader, who had been aided by the other Arab man, had forced the female companion into becoming a prostitute and then used her to carry out business and earn money. The Arab men had threatened to gravely hurt her if she resisted or denied to comply with their every demand. This was mentioned in the official report.

HAIA reported that the force had been tipped off about the illegal activities which were being carried out in the house located in the southern part of Jeddah. This information had been passed on to the authorities by the people who resided in the area. The information reported by the residents stated that they would often see men arriving at the house, in the later hours of the night.

The Criminal Court of Jeddah has sentenced the ringleader of the brothel to a jail term of 4 years, 200 lashes as physical punishment and also a monetary fine of SAR 20,000. The second man or the man who had aided and abetted with the ring leader has been sentenced by the Criminal Court of Jeddah to a jail term of one year, a monetary fine of SR 10,000 and physical punishment of 90 lashes which are to be administered at 10-day intervals.

The woman who had been forced into prostitution by the two men was sentenced by the Criminal Court of Jeddah to a jail term of two and a half years behind bars and physical punishment of 90 lashes which are to be administered over four separate periods of time.

Saleh Al-Ghamdi, a lawyer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stated that all those who have been clearly found guilty of exploiting other people for their material gains should be imprisoned for 15 years behind bars, and must also be forced to pay a monetary fine of SR 1 million and all of the proceeds made from their criminal operations should be confiscated by the authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
