A kind lady rewards her Filipina Housemaid with a fully furnished house

Nowadays, keeping Housemaids, and the domestic worker is said to be a crucial need for every working family. Similarly, the housemaid culture is an essential part of households in the Middle East.

According to a study of Knowledge and Human Development Authority, 94 percent Emirati families hire housemaids, every time we have to be careful whether the person we are hiring is trustworthy or not?

This is similar trust story of an Emirati family who hired a Housemaid years ago and rewarded her with a wonderful gift for her long and good trustable service.

Mellisa Mc Pike, the Emirati lady and a mother of two children Saeed and Seif al-Muhari decided to reward her housemaid Dina Tenerife Celo, with a gift for her long and good services, she said she thought a furnished home in her home country would be a better choice to gift her.

She said that Dina was a good lady and her character and service was outstanding from the very first day. In short, she said, she fully deserves this gift. This was an unbelievable news for everyone.

45 years old Filipino housemaid could not believe that her sponsor wanted to gift her a house in her home country. This is like her dream come true as she said this is the dream of every villager to have a house built of concrete.

She further said that she gifted her with many gifts throughout the years, the gift included cash money and other things which she re-gifted to her family and now this is a time to change and she wanted to gift her something that could benefit her

Dina was paid $6,261 (AED 23,000 and around 320,000 Pesos) as a gift which allowed her to purchase a plot (land) in Camarines Sur, Philippines. Melissa McPike is originally American and has been living in Abu Dhabi with her family for the past 26 years.

She told her elder son Saeed, who is 26, to accompany their Housemaid, Dina on a flight to the Philippines and supervise the construction and ensure she makes full use of the resources given to her.

However, on the other hand, Dina is feeling a little overwhelmed, and think that it is way too generous. She became speechless and could only say thanks and this is too much.

Rewarding her house was not enough, the pious family gifted her some money too, it was reported that $4.083(AED 15,000) were transferred to Dina’s account by Saeed to cover the extra cost.

Melissa said Dina became the part of their family, whenever she leaves the house, we miss her, they just wanted Dina with them every time. She was hired when Saeed was 6 and Seif was 4 years old.

Since then the boys are too much attached to her that they always wanted to take Dina with them everywhere.  Mellissa further explained that there were several cases of crimes committed by domestic workers were exposed which too include assaulting the children out of revenge.

This happens all around the world some people are quite trustworthy. Melissa blindly trusts Dina as she said she has the access to everything in her house including her bank details. She never needed to lock her house.

She said it is not necessary for everyone to buy a house for the workers to prove their generosity, sometimes all a worker need is they should be treated with love and respect.
