Zuhoor, a young Saudi student who was a part of the home-schooling system, gave birth to a baby girl in the high school examination hall in Makkah in Western Saudi Arabia, while she was taking her final exams on Tuesday.
According to a local news, a home student (who do not attend regular school but appear for the final examination) was sitting in the examination hall to appear in her English paper. All of a sudden she started screaming and crying and went into labor.
When the school supervisors rushed to ask her situation, she stated that she was about to give birth what she had not expected on that day. It is well-said nobody can go against Allah’s will.
There is our’s will and there is Allah’s will but all that happens is according to Allah’s will. Allah has always and already planned something for us.
As said by the High school high teacher, Ruqaya Hawsawi, in her statement on the matter, the student arrived early in the morning to appear in her exam and no one noticed anything unusual, she was not feeling any labor pain at that time.
She said the student started feeling unwell in the mid-way through her exam and decided to finish the test and hand over the paper, and at that time we noticed that something was wrong with her.
Hawsawi explained that this caused an extreme disturbance in the examination hall and in order to reduce the stress, the supervisor of the examination hall helped her to get out of the hall along with two other staff members.
The medical team and Red Crescent were called but the baby was born before they could arrive. The supervisor and two school workers helped the student at the time she was delivering the baby.
When the medical team and the Red Crescent crew arrived there the baby was handed over them and both the mother and the baby was moved to the local hospital for a further checkup.
The newborn who is now named as Zainab has now gone to her home with her mother. Their family thanked the school officials for handling the situation.
The story went viral on social media, many just congratulated the new mother while some got a topic to talk about her age.
Whatever you say about the childbirth, it will be remembered to the family and each and every student appearing in the exam for the rest of their life. They will be telling the story of Zainab to their children and perhaps their grandchildren.
At this point, we should also appreciate the exam supervisor and other school staff who took immediate action and helped the girl to deliver the baby safely. It could have been life-threatening to the baby as well as a mother.
There is another lesson to learn here that the girls should take care of themselves. The exams are not more important than their lives, they should think about their health first.
