We have already explained in our earlier articles that you need to plan the activity of getting iqama of your child. The first step in the process is to Book an Appointment with Ahwal-e-Madni and the last step is to Apply for Iqama of Newly Born Baby – Born inside Saudi Arabia
In the above-mentioned process, you need to take many steps and one of them is to get Birth Certificate from Ahwal-e-Madni. If you are more than 30 days late in applying for the birth certificate of your child, you need to pay a fee of SR 50. Earlier, the fee used to be paid in cash but now it is paid online.
If your appointment is beyond one-month time and you want to avoid paying fine, you can go to the civil affairs officer with the appointment paper (irrespective of the date of appointment) on 29th day of your child's birth. They will issue you a token so that you can avoid paying fine.
In order to pay the fee, you need to login to your internet banking account. We are using the example of Al Rajhi Bank Account but the procedure from all other banks is also the same.
Go to the payments tab given above the fold and select “SADAD” from the drop-down list. A new page will open where you need to click on the “MOI Payments” tab.
In the next screen, you need to look for the tab “Civil Registration”. Click on this tab as given in the below screenshot.
In the next screen, you need to select “Payments” as Transaction Type and “Birth Certificate” as Application Type. You also need to enter your Iqama number and Date of Birth of the child. Some banks only accept Hijri date of birth so be prepared for that.
In the next screen, you will have to cross check all the details provided. There will be a fee of SR 50 for the late birth registration. Click on confirm button and print the receipt for the documentation to apply for Birth Certificate.
