There are many rich people around the world. We know rich businessmen around us, rich famous personalities, rich politicians and rich celebrities. But not all rich people tend to spend money in the most lavish manner.
This art of spending money in an extravagant manner is confined to a few and among them is the Sultan of Brunei. Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah is a rich man whose net worth is estimated to be as high as $20 billion. Born in Malaysia and now the sultan of Brunei enjoys a status of being one of the richest people and the richest monarch in the world.[irp]
His sultanate is one of the world’s economically stable one. The sultanate is categorized as a communally sheltered one. The people there are leading a financially stable life and enjoy a tax-free living. The sultanate is rich in oil and natural gas and these two resources are the greatest source of income for Sultan of Brunei.
The Sultan loves to spend money and spends it in the most lavish and extraordinary manner. He has this passion for cars, which we cannot say is extraordinary at all. I mean most boys out there love to have a luxurious car, but not everyone has a passion for having a collection of cars and that too in thousands.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Sultan has a collection of 7,000 luxury cars. These cars are not an ordinary one. These are high-performance cars. It is stated that the Sultan loved to have high-speed, unique and rare, expensive and beautiful cars of the world.
His passion let him collect the cars so much so that he now owns 7,000 great luxury cars! The worth of his cars is more than $5 billion! His collection includes following cars:
1-Rolls Royce cars (about 600 in number)
2-More than 300 Ferraris
3-About 134 Koenigsegg
4- 11 McLaren F1s
5-6 Dauer Porsche 962 LMs
6-A significant number of the great and luxurious Jaguars.
So 7,000 cars weren’t enough for the sultan and he decided to own some private jet planes. These jet planes are personally customized and are undoubtedly luxurious. He owns super expensive and luxurious Boeing 747-400 and Airbus 340-200 and many of its rooms are gold plated.
Whoa! That’s what you call super richness! He is reported to have a haircut that costs him $21,000! He was once proclaimed as the world’s richest man. In 1980’s he was declared to the wealthiest man in the world. Later, in 1990’s Bill Gates (the famous American businessmen) replaced him.
The Sultan of Brunei lives in a palace in the capital of the Brunei, Bandar Seri Begawan. His palace has around 1,788 rooms where he along with his family lives.
