Procedure to pay Dependent’s Fee using Internet Banking

The Saudi Government announced on Jan 01, 2017 that a fee of SR 100 per month will be levied on all the dependents of expatriates in Saudi Arabia at the time of Iqama renewal from July 01, 2017. Now, this fee has been implemented. The dependent’s fee will be increased to SR 200 per month from July 2018, SR 300 per month from July 2019 and SR 400 per month from July 2020. The fee has been applicable on all the dependents irrespective of their age. Every resident will have to pay the dependent’s fee even if the Iqama has been renewed. We have explained the procedure to pay the dependent’s fee for Iqama Renewal below. We have used the internet banking account of Samba Bank. It is important to mention here that you need to pay the dependent’s fee starting from July 01, 2017 irrespective of the fact that your iqama has been renewed. Let’s say, if your Iqama is valid till 23-04-1439 i.e. Jan 10, 2018, you will have to pay the dependent’s fee at the time of renewal of your next Iqama for the period of 6 months and 10 days. If you have 1 dependent under your sponsorship, the fee of SR 647 will be paid for 6 months and 10 days, as you can see in the attached screenshot. You will have to pay this dependent fee for 2 months beyond the date you want to issue final exit on. Recommended: No Exit Re-Entry Visa without Dependent’s Fee

Open your Internet Banking account and try to locate “SADAD” in it. If you are using Al Rajhi Bank account, you will have to click on “SADAD” and “MOI Payments” later on. If you are using SAMBA Bank account, you will click “SADAD Bills” and “Government Services”.  Next step in Al Rajhi Bank account is to select the “Expatriate Services”. In Samba Bank, you will have to select “Alien Control” in Service Type and “Associate Fee for all Associates” in the application type. You can also select “Associate Fee for a Specific Associate” if you want to pay the dependent’s fee separately. Enter your Iqama Number if you have selected “Associate Fee for all registered Associates”. Next step is to enter the time for which you want to pay the fee. Here you will have to enter your Iqama Expiry date + 1 year. If you just want to pay the fee till for exit re-entry, leave the date column empty and it will calculate the fee till your iqama expiry. If you have selected “Associate Fee for a Specific Associate”, enter your Iqama number in “Alien ID” and enter the Iqama number of your dependent in “Associate ID”.  of the dependent for whom you want to pay the fee. Next step is to enter the time for which you want to pay the fee. Here you will have to enter your Iqama Expiry date + 1 year. Your Iqama will be renewed for one full year, so you need to enter the date of your next Iqama Expiry.

In the next step, you will see an amount to be paid. In the provided screenshot, you can see that the Iqama is to be renewed till 23-04-1440 i.e. Dec 31, 2018. You can see that the dependent’s fee to be paid is SR 2,437. SR 1,200 is charged for next 12 months at the rate of SR 100 per month (July 2017 to July 2018) and SR 1,200 is charged for next 6 months at the rate of SR 200 per month (July 2018 to Dec 2018).

Dependent's Fee for Sponsorees: Unfortunately, there is no option in SADAD banking to pay the dependent's fee for sponsorees. Sponsorees are those people who are registered under your Iqama but they are not your dependents. For example, if your mother, father or sister or housemaid is registered under your Iqama, they are your sponsorees. In order to pay the dependent's fee for sponsorees, you need to calculate the amount of dependent's fee using the equation given below and pay it as if you are paying Fee for Single Exit Re-Entry Visa. Let's say if the dependent's fee is SR 800 and you want to issue exit re-entry visa for 2 months, you need to pay the Fee for Single Exit Re-Entry Visa for 10 months (800+200).

Calculation of Dependent's Fee: The dependent fee for the period starting from July 2017 to June 2018 is SR 100 per dependent per month

  • The dependent fee for the period starting from July 2018 to June 2019 is SR 200 per dependent per month
  • The dependent fee for the period starting from July 2019 to June 2020 is SR 300 per dependent per month
  • The dependent fee for the period starting from July 2020 is SR 400 per dependent per month
