The Holy Kaaba is the most sacred holy shrine for Muslims which is in the city of Saudi Arabia, Makkah. Kaaba is an epicenter for all Muslims around the globe. Thousands of Muslims from every corner of the world visit Holy Kaaba daily. All Muslims have a desire to visit the Kaaba and perform Hajj once in their lives if they can do so. The literal meaning of Holy Kaaba in Arabic is a building of square shape, wrapped in cloth of silk and cotton. The beautiful Holy Kaaba has many unknown facts regarding its inside interior. They are mentioned as follows:
1-The Holy Kaaba consists of three wooden columns which help to hold the ceiling of Kaaba. The perimeter of each wood column is almost one fifty centimeters and the color is dark brown. These woods are more than 1,350 years old and the diameter of each column is 44 centimeters.
2-The wood used in Holy Kaaba is the strongest wood available which was put by the companion of Prophet, Abdullah bin Zubair.
3-Every column’s wooden base is square in shape and between these three columns, a pillar is present from where the gifts of Kaaba are suspended. The pillar passes through all the three columns. Also, the sides of the pillar are extended to the southern and northern walls.
4-The floor of Kaaba is made up of marble and most of the marble is white in color but some are colored.
5-The walls of the Kaaba are decorated with colorful and emblazoned marble.
6-The Holy Kaaba’s interior is covered with a curtain of red silk that has a texture of embroidery with the embossed name of Allah. This red silk curtain also covers ceilings of Kaaba.
7-Inside the Holy Kaaba, there are stones which are decorated with beautiful Arabic calligraphy done by using the script of Thuluth. One stone is decorated with Arabic calligraphy using the script of Kufic. The words embossed on the stones are made up of colorful and precious pieces of marble. These words are written after the sixth century (Ah). The total number of stones inside the Holy Kaaba is ten and the material is marble.
8-The Holy mosques presidency informed that the right-side interior of Kaaba includes stairs that lead towards the hatch. The right-side interior of Kaaba which is Levantine corner has many resemblances with an enclosed structure having a rectangular shape with no window but has a special lock which goes towards the direction of the ceiling.
9-The Kaaba door is covered with a curtain of beautiful silk curtain which has silver and gold prints.
10-Between the door of repentance (Bay but Taubah) and Kaaba’s door, in the direction of the eastern wall, a document of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud is printed on a board of marble. The document by King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud indicates the renovation date.
