We have already explained in detail the “Procedure to Transfer Sponsorship in Saudi Arabia”. As a part of the procedure, your new employer will have to write a letter to your current sponsor requesting the transfer of sponsorship. This letter is called demand letter. If you are not familiar with this letter, we have given a sample demand letter below. This letter needs to be stamped by the new company and signed by one person whose signatures are acceptable in Chamber of Commerce. We have given some important guidelines to attest document from chamber of commerce in this link “Important Points about Attestation from Chamber of Commerce”[irp]
Sample Demand Letter for Transfer of Sponsorship: Once you have received this letter you need to give it to your current sponsor. He will give you two letters in response to the demand letter for transfer of sponsorship. One Letter is for Transfer of Sponsorship to Jawazat and the other Letter for Transfer of Sponsorship to Ministry of Labor. Both letters need to be attested by the Chamber of Commerce. We have given some important guidelines to attest document from the chamber of commerce in this link “Important Points about Attestation from Chamber of Commerce”.
What if Membership to Chamber of Commerce is expired? There is a possibility that the membership of the chamber of commerce of your current sponsor has expired. Now there can be a problem since Ministry of Labor and Jawazat do not know about the authenticity of the letters. They may presume that the letters are fake as anyone can bring them on their letterheads. Well, in that case, your sponsor can approach Ministry of Labor and request them to authenticate his signatures. Ministry of Labor only does it if he has strong reference inside.
